*Dear all,*
*
Applications are still open for our bioinformatics training workshop on
Genotyping by sequencing applied to Plant Breedingin Costa Rica this
August 6-9. More details below:
The GCRF-fundedCABANA project <http://www.cabana.online/>is also
delighted to offer travel fellowships of up to £1125 GBP for researchers
to attend these workshops. The fellowships are open to scientists from
Latin America at any stage of their career. Early-stage researchers and
researchers from minority groups are especially encouraged to apply.
Title:CABANA Workshop: Genotyping by Sequencing Applied to Plant Breeding
Venue:Universidad de Costa Rica, San Jose, Costa Rica
Dates:6-9 August 2019
Deadline for Applications: 1st July 2019, 00:30 UTC
Registration fee:$18000 CRC

Overview
This workshop will provide training around the experimental design and
multiple applications of Genotyping by Sequencing (GBS) in plants. In
addition, detailed computational analysis of GBS data and resources will
be explored. Genomic analysis tools for GBS, such as Tassel and STACKS,
as well as publicly available resources for plant data process and
application will we implemented during the workshop.
Target Audience
This workshop is aimed at wet-lab researchers at any career stage within
Latin America undertaking plant breeding and population genetics,
interested in applying next generation sequencing to screen individuals.
